UCM is a very strong Division II baseball program.  They've won a couple of national championships, get to the post season (and do well) often, and regularly win their conference.

The current coach -Myers - has been there 5 or 6 years and has done very well. I don't think he's won a NC yet, but he's been close a few times.  He was a former assistant to Brad Hill, a previous Mules coach who led them to a National Championship and now coaches a Kansas State.

My son's summer coach played on the 2003 UCM national championship team.  As such, my kid played a showcase tournament there this past summer and absolutely loved the field.  It was a natural grass and dirt field that was in immaculate condition (and they are zealous in keeping it that way).  He really enjoyed it as many of the showcases he played in last year were on turf (Kansas and Wichita State). He got to see some of the interior facilities and was impressed, but truthfully he doesn't have that much to compare them to.

The campus seemed pretty compact for a mid sized school like UCM (I think somewhere around 10,000 total students). Warrensburg is right there, so there are plenty of places to shop and all the regular eating spots are more than likely available.  My son is playing another showcase there this summer and we plan to take the school tour just to see what he thinks of the school (baseball nonwithstanding). I also have a couple of friends who have graduated from there and they all really enjoyed there time.

Go to the collegeprowler website and you can get some great information on the school.  Hope this helps.

UCM has a good D-2 baseball program in a good conference. (MIAA)

Former Coach Darren Hendrickson is now the Coach at St Louis U.

Traditional Campus, small-town atmosphere. OK academically, but not stellar.

Facilities are better than a lot of D-1's, thanks in part to the generous donations from Jim Crane.  Jim is a former pitcher for UCM, and is now the majority owner of the Houston Astros.

I believe the team played at least one of their early Spring games in Minute Maid Park.

They always seem to have a large number of D-1 transfers on their roster, and have sent several players on to the pro ranks.
