U of D is a division 3 school that recently joined the SCAC in the last couple of years.

I don't know a lot about them in particular I know more about there conference.

The SCAC used to be much larger and had a very large Geographic foot print. Recently 6 Schools split with From the SCAC and joined with two other schools to create there own conference, the SAA.

With only 6 schools that play baseball currently They need to pick up another school to keep the Automatic Qualifier for post season play. I believe they will still have it for a year or two.

By far the best school in the SCAC baseball wise and always highly rated in the top 25 is Trinty, so so they face very good competition.

BOF has a son that plays at Trinity and he may have more information on U of D.
U of Dallas just moved into the SCAC, and I believe their coach is relatively new in the past couple of years. He has done a great job of raising up the profile of the program IMO. I know Trinity has played them in the past and they have always fielded a competitive program. I think TU swept them last year, but the games were good ones from what I remember. I know two years ago UoD beat TU in some games that knocked them down in the national rankings.

It is my thought that UoD , Trinity and Centenary will likely become the big three in the SCAC. Some say that TLU may also be very competitive. From what I have read it is a quality school, but I don’t know that much about them. I think that they and TU will probably develop a very competitive rivalry, more like Millsaps and TU used to have.

As far as the SCAC goes they have enough teams for their AQ and I believe they will add some more teams from the area and it will continue to be one of the DIII power conferences and I think UoD will be part of that process. I think enough about the program that I am considering going to the away series there as one of my trips to watch the team play.

Infieldad probably knows about them also.
