Andrew Ravaglia (Pitching Coach, University of Dallas)

Andrew Ravaglia’s background as a former UD baseball player (2nd base and catcher from 1997-2001) and experience with pitchers provides the UD baseball coaching staff with experience on developing young arms. Prior to his hire at UD, Ravaglia was the assistant head coach at Broadmoor High School in Baton Rouge, LA. The New Orleans, LA native also served as the head baseball coach at St. Edmund High School (Baton Rouge, LA) from 2005-06, was an assistant coach at Holy Cross High School (New Orleans, LA) from 2004-05, and was an assistant coach at St. Bernard High School (Bernard, LA) from 2001 to 2004. During his playing career at the University of Dallas as a 2nd baseman and catcher, Ravaglia was named Most Improved Player on the 2000 American Southwest Conference Championship team. His familiarity with the University of Dallas will only aid Ravaglia in recruiting and understanding of UD athletics. Ravaglia has worked the UD and Holy Cross High School baseball camps and was the director of the St. Edmund High School baseball camp.


Chris Strockbine (Head Coach, University of Dallas)

In his second year at the University of Dallas, Coach Strockbine led the team to a 19-17-1 record. The 2007 team was led by seniors and AD3I All-Independent first team members Chase Violette and Fraser Holmes. Violette was also named to the ABCA's NCAA DIII All-West Region Team. In two seasons at UD Strockbine is 36-32-1. Prior to his employment at the University of Dallas Strockbine served as assistant football coach at Beloit College, and assistant track and field coach at Beloit Memorial High School (WI). Strockbine competed in football and baseball at Beloit College lettering 4 years in football and was named the Most Improved Player in baseball for the 2001 season. In addition he played two summers in the Dallas Amateur Baseball Association. In High School he was an all-state selection in football and baseball. Coach Strockbine is also a veteran of University of Dallas baseball clinics, having been involved as a counselor since 1998. While serving as an assistant at UD in 2004 Strockbine oversaw the catchers, while serving as the team's hitting coach. Strockbine hopes to use his areas of expertise to bring UD baseball to new heights.
