EC - I don't know any inside details of the team/program. I did visit their stadium this spring for a game against Illinois State. Their stadium sits right beside Papa John's Stadium in an area of Louisville that's not all that great. It's a beautiful facility though that I'm sure any player would appreciate playing in. The team looked very solid. I was there during a week day but not much attendance... I suspect the location of their place might play a factor. I didn't find it really easy to get to due to area and traffic.

Hopefully someone will have some more specific details for you. Welcome to HSBBW!
While at Ole Miss, Dan McDonnell was known as a very good recruiter. He should be given a majority of the credit for bringing in all of the talented kids that helped the Rebels to become Nationally ranked. He signed several quality players from the Memphis area and actually got Tyler Mathis to Louisville out of Covington, TN which is about 40 minutes north of Memphis. Mathis has come in as a freshman and established himself as a weekend starter. I would expect Coach McDonnell to use the same gameplan to build a quality program at the U of Louisville.
From my experience with the new coaches ,
they are very active recruiters and the guys I have going there next year or that have been there on visits love the guys there.

We had the oppurtunity to play there in the Fall and will be back there in the Summer. Was tough to get to, but well worth it once you are there.

I beleive the only dirt area in the park was the mound..
i went to the camp in november and it was really nice but really different. I, being from arizona there isnt much turf. I thought it was wierd because ive never even seen a turf field.the only dirt is the batters box and the pitchers mound. But they have a really nice facility. Im not to sure about their team. I think their outfield was pretty solid but i dont know.
