Anyone familiar with UNF? It looks as though they have a decent basball program with moderate academic requirements.

Better than decent, imo.
There's not a better coach in America than HC Dusty Rhodes-IMO. Politics kept him
from being HC at U of F when he was assistant coach there. He started program at
UNF over 18 years ago and in 26 years as a head coach his record is 1071 and 479.
This year they move up to DI and play in the A-Sun Conf. They will be playing every DI school in Florida except Fla. Int'l and they couldn't fit them into the schedule. They also play LSU for 3 in La. This year will be a good test of his
coaching ability. Played for the DII championship last year against Florida Southern.
He's known for his no-nonsense coaching style and finding and developing talent.
He is the BOSS at UNF and is respected nationwide.

Believe it or not I played for Dusty back in middle school some 33 years ago, I played legion for him when I was in high school and played for him at Palm Beach Junior College (now PBCC). Moc1 said it best, he is a "no nonsene" coach. If you like to wear your wristbands on your forearms, if you like to wear your hat tilted off to the side, if you you wear your sunglasses over anything else other than your eyes, if you are a hot dog, showboat, etc. etc., you won't be there for long. You better be able to keep your mouth shut and, you if you don't like country music, you will after 4 years.
IMO - He's a great coach who teaches the game the way it should be. If all programs were run and coached the way it is at UNF, baseball would be a better game. I can't say enough about Dusty as a Coach.
Academically, they've come a long way and Dusty stresses that. I was told that unless you carry a 3.0 and at least 1000 on your SAT (old SAT) don't expect a lot of money unless you are a stud. They rely heavily on the Florida Bright Futures money so they can get more players in for less money.
He will make an average player an above average player and isn't afraid to take chances on a kid and see how he develops. Again, Bright Futures Money lets you do this.

Dusty and I were teammates at Florida Southern College before he got into
coaching and he played the same way he coaches-NO BS. I love his coaching
and so do 99.9% of his former players.

Dusty Rhodes has a reputation as one of the toughest, fairest and most knowlegeable in the college game today. He runs a great program and I recommend any one who has the chance or opportunity, to play for the guy.
