The school is located in Clarksville, AR, a town of about 15,000 people that is close to very little. They play in the American Southwest Conference, a tough DIII conference. Head Coach Jimmy Clark has bene there about 4 or 5 years and has done a nice job of improving the program. They were a little down last year but prior to that they were improving each year that Clark was there.

The school its self is an average small liberal arts school. The population of the school is about 600-700 students.
Down South, the program at Ozarks has a history of being very weak. They would lose big-time to programs who would lose big-time to everyone else for the time that I was coaching DIII in the region. Hopefully this new coach is turning things around there, because it is a wonderful school. Not for the serious baseball player I don't think, but perhaps for the serious student who also wants to play college baseball.
I can shed a little insight on the coach - I played high school ball for him.

He is a great coach that stresses fundamentals, defense and pitching. He is very good at relating to his players and is a very good game manager.

It's true that Ozarks was not very good, however, since Coach Clark has taken over, he has drastically improved the quality of the program and their schedule.

Everyone at the university thinks so much of him and what he has done in his time there. He has also been bumped up to Athletic Director, yet still manages to be the head baseball coach.

If you are in the south, I would hope you seriously consider this school. Let me know if you have any questions.
