floridafan- The UWF baseball field is called Jim Spooner Field. It is located at a minor league stadium that used to be home to the Pensacola Pelicans. It is about a half mile east of the center of campus and is on "Campus Drive", just like the school itself. Hope this helps and good luck in regionals!

FF..Welcome to the Western Gate of the Sunshine State. Check for "University Mall Area Hotels" (exit 13)...several there (courtyard, hampton, red roof, etc.)..you will be 5-10 minutes from the field. Exit 10 (hwy 29) has a couple also...10-15 minutes from field.

Very nice field...and it's just semantics but, the field is the UWF baseball field..the Pensacola Pelicans have used it for the last several years (making upgrades). Nice area..hope you enjoy your stay (well, not too much )..be sure to check the area beaches..some of the prettiest you will see.

Thank You DaddyBo - I secured a room at a Holiday Inn not too far from the field on North Davis Highway. I booked it begining Thursday night expecting the first game to be around 4:00 in the afternoon, come to find the 1st game will be at 11:00 in the morning! A six hour drive has us leaving home at 4:00 AM to get there with time to spare. Whew!
