when can you take an unofficial visit? can sophs take one. do you show yourself around? or can a coach or other player do that. do you have to set it up? i hope these aren't to dumb a questions

I went on an Unofficial visit to my school, or at least to my knowledge it was unofficial.
Here's what I did, the Coach and I set up a date to do it, he had a player show me around, I worked out with the team, along with watching 2 other practises while I was there. Stayed with 5 guys on the team for the weekend. Coach talked to me made an offer, then took me out to dinner afterwards.

You can visit a college campus any time you desire--no need to set it up--you might want to call the coach and see if he will be around so you can drop in and say hello
IMO the more campuses you visit the better off you are when it comes decision time
