I have sent out letters to coaches of colleges of my interest that fit me both academic and talent wise.
Are there anymore tips that can help me get recruited and things i should do during the winter break.

Make sure that you send them a YouTube video of you and call them to see if they saw it.
Now broaden your net and do it again...and then again.

one coach i was talking to said he liked that i was lefty and run a good 60 time and was talking to me about the scholarship money he has left and was looking foward to seeing me in the spring
That's one coach you want to keep in contact then. Be sure he has your spring schedule. Touch base with him once in a while via Emails throughout the spring.
BP - Along with baseball stuff, a video of you running a 60 would be key. If possible, have it done on a football field (goal line to opposite 40) That way a coach is able to see exactly how fast you are by running a stop watch to your video. With your speed that would prove a good way to market a strong point.
BaseballPhenom, one thing I would really like for you to understand.... The only thing you have missed is the "early" signing period.
The "signing" period is in the Spring.
Late "sign" will be in the summer.
Keep working at it but dont stress. Just keep doing what Floridafan suggests. Keep in contact with good leads and create more good leads.

Do exactly what Floridafan said above. And don't stop till you get that first tug on the line. Then, go fishing more.
