I havent posted in this forum in awhile, but thought i should post this update about my life in the minors in here, mainly as a life lesson, read on and you'll understand why....

Moved from the "Going Pro" forum...

Well i havent updated ya'll on my progress in awhile, so here i go. As i told you i started out pretty good, its kinda gone down a little bit since then. But its not too bad, im still averaging a K per inning, but i've also walked 2 people in my last 3 outings and i've been giving up some earned runs. Not very many hits though off me and i've caught some bad breaks, but im not worrying about it. I'm just gonna keep working to get better. I've been working a lot on my changeup and harnessing my 2-seam fastball. Its costing me a little bit in ERA and such, in the short term, but as of right now im making getting better more of a priority than my stats, mainly because i know i could get away with throwing only 2 pitches here, but i know at higher levels a 2 pitch arsenal wont be enough to take out the more advanced hitters. But anyways...enough of that talk.....

As for the minor league life, im really enjoying it, being on your own is really fun. The craziest thing though, is how much more responsible i've become just from being on my own. When i lived at home, my room would be dirty, most of the time, and i seemed to be a lot lazier. Now that i'm on my own, i keep my place clean, and i do a lot more. Funny how things i got yelled at about by my Mom and Dad a few months ago, i do on my own now. Also i've learned to budget my money a lot better now since i can't just go into the living room and ask Dad for more. Laundry also isn't as much of a chore anymore either, even though i still dont like it lol. I just think its kind of ironic how quick things you thought your parents made you do for no reason, all of a sudden come back, and your thankful they made you do them. So to any teenagers reading this, DO YOUR CHORES! THEY HELP ONCE YOUR ON YOUR OWN!
Especially since this week, we almost had 3-4 Dominican players released since they're Apartment was a mess and they're landlord complained. Well thats enough talking from me for now, parents feel free to show the second half of this to your kids as motivation for chores LOL. Until next time, i'm out!

as for life in the minors, im gonna make a post soon in the going pro forum telling all about it, and as far as what the team gives us, its not much, if we REALLY need something they'll give it to us, but basically they give us shorts, two t-shirts, workout shirt, hat and uniform. If you dont have an equipment deal you can buy stuff cheap from the Clubby. But i have an equipment deal so i dont have to worry about it.
