2013 is being invited for an overnight so we'd be interested in any insight available into the school and program.

The school is considered "tier 2" academically by US News & World Report, which is a red flag for our family and College Board says it's mostly commuter students.

Thanks for any perspectives.

Fayette is a small town in the middle of a bunch of cornfields. The campus is nice, but small. They have had an agressive capital campaign and have built several new buildings since I was there last.

The playing surface of the baseball field is great. It drains faster than any I have ever seen. Very few rainouts. Program was competitive in the Northern Sun when son was there. Past few years have been tough.

On the academic side, there are only about 800 full time on campus students, but they list about 7000 total enrollment. They have many satellite campuses throughout the country and overseas, mostly located around military bases, I believe, offering "non-traditional" students the opportunities to complete degrees. On campus program is different structure than any other I've seen. Not saying better or worse, but probably one of those, you get out what you put into things.
