USC vs. OSU

Either OSU is alot better or USC is not as good as they have been. I think its a little of both.

That Michigan qb reminded me of Tom Brady wearing a Michigan uniform

I tell you what, that Frosh QB at Michigan sure didn't look like a freshman. He was fantastic. How far has Michigan come from just 2 weeks ago of chaos?

Man I have never been a Mich fan but that kid had me on the edge of my seat all day long. What a cool customer. That kid can flat out play the game. He plays with so much confidence and poise its scary.

Yeah just 2 weeks ago total chaos. Now two straight wins and all the mo in the world behind them. Things sure can change in a hurry cant they? The thing is ND played a great game and still lost. Alot of teams would have lost to that ND team today.

Did you see his interview after the game? Very cool. He was speechless....but as cool as he was during the game. I'm a fan of his now. I felt a little bad for ND because they did play great...but not that much. Felt great for Michigan.

s carolina and georgia are playing a classic right now too

Yeah I saw it. Seems like a great kid. I am a huge fan of his now as well. A kid like that makes you want to watch a team play.

Skipper can you believe the offense in that one? I mean I thought it was going to be a 14-10 defensive struggle.

Homer alert.... But, I'll tell you what, Bo Pelini is doing a great job at Nebraska. He's not quite there yet. But, we're playing a bunch of frosh/redshirt frosh. I believe next year will be the year the Huskers are back to the Tom Osborne days. Pelini's the real deal....GREAT coach.

The Saunders kid that plays TE for So Carolina is from Durham. Can you believe he played QB in HS? He is a beast. And yes the skill guys are lighting it up tonight in that one.

I miss the days when Nebraska was a factor. I think they are on there way to being a factor once again.

I was really disappointed to see the poor performance by Okla State today. They played so well last week and delivered a dud today.

I'm not a Herbstreit fan, but you have to think he's pulling for OSU big time. I think he's doing a very balanced job tonight.

Its hard for programs that are not used to being in the posistion Ok State was in today to handle that. You are coming off a big win , your ranked in the top 5 and then you run into a buzz saw in Houston. Houston is really good especially on the offensive side of the ball. Its alot different when your used to being the hunter and now your the hunted. Ok State will bounce back. But that loss sure stings.

How much does that win for Houston help their recruiting? Jeffcoat is a coach/recruiter for Houston and his son is the #1 recruit in the country. I'm sure he's thinking harder about dad's scholarship offer tonight.

As soon as you write off the Trojans, they come back to go ahead in the last minute of an away game with a Freshman QB. Just as you're ready to write them off, they change your mind to make you think they will be strong for another 3 years.

Yeah I bet he and alot of other kids are as well.

And if OSU can not put points on the board with one minute and change left how tough of a pill is this one to swallow? How many tough loses can this program sustain? IMO they have totally outplayed USC tonight and now they are in serious trouble.

I think USC is in that mode where they expect to win so they find a way to win even when they probably shouldnt.

And the other team expects them to win. They are a machine. I agree....OSU has outplayed them overall tonight. USC's QB did what he needed to do, when he needed to do it tonight. He's got a bright future.

This was a great game; but there were a lot of great games today. I love college football!

When you see Pete Carroll on TV, it's not hard to understand why the best want to play for him. Plus, they get to play with the best program in a pretty nice location at a great school. UNFAIR.

I have no idea why any kid would want to play in that weather? Or go to school there?

Heck I think their cheerleaders are reason enough!

ummmmmmmm......Tx-husker.....I think not on that one and I'm not that big of a Aggie fan. But as a Georgia fan, it was sweet revenge to see those Cowboys lose today.

OSU did play a fine game today. The trojans do that alot, they have great second halfs.

I havent really ever been a football fan, but am really enjoying college football.I enjoyed watching the game today.

Michigan QB is now my favorite football player. But then any player who beats ND is my favorite football player. Watching ND lose, especially in that fashion, is the single most joyous experience in sports. No close second.

I know we keep asking our son why did you want to be there? LOL. All of the above plus much much more.Just watching the game with my husband yesterday and knowing my son is part of that great tradion,
it gave another meaning to being a Trojan. We feel proud to be part of something like this with our son.
It has made me enjoy college football so much more.Being a women, I tend to have to attach myself to a team.I have to have some sort of connection, and it makes it so much more fun for me.
And for Me I love Pete Carrol, I think he is a great coach.I love to watch him.I loved his motivation speech last week: Get your rest,eat right, take care of business in the classroom,give 100% on the field and the rewards will be enormous.
That pretty much sums it up.
When the young quarterback was asked about the last minute win.He replied "we are Trojans".So go on and win some more USC.

The "We are Trojans" is a mindset that Pete Carroll has installed in his players. Never give up, play every minute until the clock runs out.To be proud of something bigger than yourself.Thats what college sports are all about to me.

My two son's actually attended the Ohio State - USC game on Saturday. (Youngest son's Christmas gift that he waited 9 months for!) He has always been a huge OS fan and has been saying since he was 7 or 8 that he was going to OS.

The younger one said the atmosphere was so charged that if was "life changing" . He has seen quite a bit in his limited years but he said he had goosebumps. While he was devastated by the loss he still has a memory that will last him a lifetime.
