I'm not a college coach, but I personally never had any doubts that Craig Cobb could pitch at UT and could contribute. Though I've seen him pitch a few times, (against a team I was coaching unfortunately), I've never actually met the young man. Not only did he impress me with his pitching, his behavior and attitude seemed to be very professional. I wish him the best and am always proud of a local player that conducts himself in a professional manner, and proves to everyone that he indeed can compete at a higher level. Wouldn't it have been a tragedy to watch him go out of state to play? There are some local players from this area that can contribute at UT and other schools in Tennessee. There should be no mystique attached to a prospect just because he's from 500 or 1000 miles away. If the out of state kid can help and you need him, fine, get him, but don't discount a kid just because he's local. Craig Cobb is a fine example to go by, and there are others. Also, Young Mr. Cobb is only a freshman, so watch for better things to come from him as he matures.
Chill,
I worked yesterday and didn't make any of the games. I had forgotten that, but do seem to remember that she was coming to Knoxville. Even though Niagra lost, I hope her trip was good otherwise.

We sure didn't do well with the weather that first scheduled game, but at least yesterday the weather was nice for the doubleheader.

Good luck the rest of the season... we were just funnin with the deflocking. Smile
