Can anyone let me know of any showcases in Virginia and North Carolina that my son could attend?

Not sure what time of year you're looking for, but for Virginia:
1.Virginia Weslyan College Camp (around Thanksgiving), lots of Virginia chools present. (Check the college's web site, and sign up early)
2. Southern Maryland Baseball camp (5 Sundays in December-January), lots of colleges, held north of DC below Baltimore. (has a web site, sign up early, sells out)
3. Best In Virginia Baseball Camp(Hampton Sydney), lots of coaches, sign up early (like by May 1) as it sells out every year.(mid to late July) (has a web site)
4. Blue-Grey at William and Mary (August). Submit nomination form via internet. 30-40 colleges present this year, mostly mid-Atlantic.
5. Blue-Grey at Wake Forest. Ditto, but many North Carolina schools.
We've had good success (i.e., followups/contact from attending schools) at the two my sons attended, Best In Virgina and Blue-Grey at W & M. BG is by invite or by tryout.
