VWC's scheduled opener against Salisbury Univ. has been rescheduled for this coming Tuesday @ 2 p.m. It appears that the forecast of rain, snow and a wind chill of 27 degrees had an impact.

He wears #25; oddly enough, while I'll make it to most CNU games, on both VWC games I have scheduling issues that can't be helped. Amazing that some clients seem to think there is something more important than my sons' baseball games....

CNU opens tomorrow afternoon with Randolph Macon; weather forecast is low 60's. Yabba Dabba Do!
Zeke,

CNU wins, 10-3. CNU pitched their top 3 pitchers 3 innings each, scored early and had 15 hits cruising in for the win. They play #2 and #5 teams in nation Saturday and Sunday at CNU, likely in bitter cold weather.

RMC has a great coach, Ray Hedrick, and he runs a good program, so RMC will be fine. I understand the pitching may be a little down this year for them. RMC defensively was excellent, and they fought back in the middle innings scoring three on a bases loaded double.

CNU's facilities just keep getting better-new stadium seating, captain's chairs, etc. is a very impressive addition to an already nice field, and glass/brick press box is due for completion by season's end.

I spoke briefly to Coach Hedrick, who reminded me it was just as warm at Ashland yesterday... Smile What a great guy!

Saw your son's name in the program-hope he heals up soon and is back out there!
Novice Dad, that's a good question he did graduate in 2004 so I thought he should have been a soph but he's listed a s a Freshmen -- maybe the website is in error.

I don't think he was even on their roster last year. I just figured he red shirted but I guess DIII doesn't have a Red Shirt. Maybe he got a med waiver - I don't know.

But I was glad for him. He really didn't even play much in HS until his senior year (as I recall but I could be wrong) - then he had a great senior year. I think he was even all-met. noidea
congrats to odu in their win over UVA- my sons school has already had their first 3 games cancelled/scratched from the schedule- things are not looking too good for this weekend either- I would have to agree about the never updated vwc website(at least as far as baseball goes)- i have been trying to follow them the last three years and end up going to their opponants website to find the score even several days later-
