Anyone had any experience with the Varsity Gold fundraising group? If so, did you raise any money with them? What percentage of sales came back to the school? Any info appreciated.

We have used Varsity Gold for the past 2 years, and we have made a ton of money doing so. The guy we work with has been really good about fitting the times to do it for us, and he has always followed through.
I think they (Varsity Gold) get too big a cut (you split 50/50 on the ticket packages that we do), but I can't imagine the money we make being found in another fundraiser.
Our town, Grand Blanc, is about 30,000 people....and we make around $6,000 every year. The ticket sales are small coupons to local business establishments, and they are pretty nice values. The kids sell on their own for 2 weeks, then you have a "Blitz Day" where the kids go around the community door-to-door selling the packages.
Fun day for the program (we have a cookout with it), and the kids get incentives for number sold, top seller, etc.
We will use them again this year.

We used it last year and are planning very soon to do so again. It is a real simple way to raise money. I would recommend it to anyone that is looking to raise some cash.
