Hey Stan, how is your season going?

It's been quite a year for me and I hadn't returned to the diamond this year like I had hoped. Next season for sure...and then you will be seeing me around here more often. Big Grin

I've been taking hits like a clown in a dunking booth this year...but all in all, its been a decent spring seaason...glad to hear you will be back on the diamond soon....

Dont be a stranger...I have seen a few posts of your posts at some of the other sites we all visit, so make us here a stop....

Now on the field, they may have viewed it differently but they are doing without the benefit of twenty replays.

Michael, this looks like a failed jump turn to me. Since a pitcher is considered in contact during a jump turn he has to throw to first. Do you see it as him simply disengaging?

Good to see you back. Yes, I had it as a valid stepoff, abeit a strange one. I think he was trying to jump step but what he ended up doing was jump back with his pivot foot, then stepped home and threw. When he screwed up the jump step he didn't know what to do. If he hadn't thrown anywhere he would have been OK. The distinction is a disengagemnet is two steps, a jump turn, both feet move at the same time.
