hey jon,
well i follow your training routine in Diamonds.
lets see... i train everyday except sunday
-ill begin everyday by doing all the stuff on your 7 min. dynamic warmup, followed by hurdle drills, then tumbling drills, and finally jump rope 3 sets
-agility ladder on whieght training days which are mon, wed, fri
-for lifting i'll do the diomonds routine...you know the 2 focus, 2 med ball exercises from circuit B, 3 supplemental, FIX and all that
-i also run everyday monday, fri-max sprints
all other days -sub max sprints
-tues, thurs, sat i'll also do med ball circuit A and finish it off with unbreakble abs
-occasionally do gpp(ie. sledghammer, jumpjacks,splitshuffle,burpee,moutainclimbers)
-try to if my back isnt hurting hit everyday(300-400 swings)and fielding couple times a week
-try to stay on the Jaegar throwing program(band work and longtossing everyday)
-at least 20 min static stretching at the end of eachday
-for supplments i take omega 1250, alpha lipoic acids, multivitamins, BCAA, l-carnitine, and 100% on whey protein. i've also started taking supercissus rx a few weeks back.
-as for my eating habits, i eat 5-6 meals a day, stay away from fast foods, eat alot of vegetables and fruits, make sure to eat carbs and protein after lifting, drink alot of water and i try to get at least 8 hours of sleep
-i've also tried everything to fix my injuries, active realease, accupuncture, prolotherapy, and out of desperation my doctor is offering me hgh
even through all this effort my body seems to keep breaking down for some reason.
I must admit you are doing it the right way...I commend your efforts...that's a MLB-type program right there...how long have you been floowing the program like that?

I would up non-weighted GPP if it does not hurt...

And I have a feeling hamstring and low back injury are related so thats really 1 injury so we need to fix that...how did you initially hurt that?

And its hard to say about a shoulder surgery that didnt take...what kind of surgery?
i've been following this routine for almost a year now.
i hurt my left hamstring like 3 years ago while running the bases...and my back i was maxing out on the squats and it was on my 6 rep i felt something.
i had arthroscopic surgery by dr.yocum to shave off a very small tear in the labrum. it was such a small tear he told me i should be throwing in a months time...but here i am 2 years later still in pain.its weird too because the doctors say my shoulder looks perfect.
i feel like playing on the bad hamstring led to my arm injury because you can't use your legs as much...
also my dad's one of those old school guys who think you need to play through injuries and they will eventually go away.so it takes quite a while to convince him to get me help after an injury.i mean his favorite phrase is"its all in your head" i really think it's my dad's stubborness and ignorance that led me to where i'm at.
Just wanted to post and give you some good luck with the injuries....Ive suffered broken bones preseason my sophmore and junior season and couldn't lift leading up to my senior cuz of problems....It always seems I get hurt doing something stupid, but if you keep on working on hard as you are, things WILL work out for the best
