I have a question about recruiting. In the fall I am moving to a different location in Illinois and will be playing for a different high school. My family had to move because my dad got laid off. I didn't have the greatest experience with my varsity coach at my old school. If colleges are interested in me, I know they will talk to my new varsity coach at my new school, but will they talk to my other coach at my old high school?

Usually they will talk with just your current coach for information. What I suggest you do is contact all coaches you've been in touch with now, before school starts, and provide them with an updated of your new address & phone#, new school name & phone# and your new coach's name. Don't worry about what you can't change, just work hard now to be ready for next year's season. Good Luck.

Tg...You should be playing summer ball with your new high school team. Playoffs for the summer state tournament start on Monday.

Talk with your new coach and tell him honestly about your situation with the old coach.

You won't be the first kid or the last kid that has "problems" with some coaches.

There are plenty of terrific high school coaches around. Too, there are some that are not so terrific.

Do your best in the fall and see what happens.

I'm in Southwest suburban Chicagoland. Talk with your dad and if he likes, he can call me at 815-469-4520 and I'll see if I can help him/you out down the line.

Beenthere,

Friend of mine's son is coming to Illinois Institute of Technology this year on a baseball/academic scholarship. How's the program ther? I know it's been around a long time, just curious about how it is these days if you know.

He's a 6'4, 220lb. righthander, he plays for us during the summer.
