Does anyone know what the ruling is for a high school that gets rained out in the 4th inning in a regular season contest?

The basic rule is the game isn't a "game" until 5 complete innings, or 4 1/2 innings if the home team is leading - similar to the slaughter rule. Our district follows this rule - has happened probably 3-4 times over the last few years....the games are rescheduled and start all over
