Saw this yesterday and got a kick out of the first sentence "Further change seems certain at the Virginia High School League, as conferences, regions and the league itself struggle to turn a profit." VHSL is a non-profit (Organizational Statement)! I certainly don't expect them to lose $300K a year, but as a non-profit I also don't expect them to make $300K a year. Why am I thinking mini-NCAA wannabe? JMO
Sloppy writing -- "profit" was not the right word really. They do need to cover the bills, though.
What I found amazing was the intransigence with respect to the six divisions. The more people try to tell them they've fouled things up, the more dug in they get. It's like none of them are capable of listening. We need to figure out how to remove and replace the entire slate of leaders there.

Well said. That is exactly what is going on. I compare this to a really bad hair cut. They know it is really bad haircut, and they plan to fix it by taking off more hair when it would be best just to shave it all off and start new.
