Found this on this on the internet regarding Vic Power’s sense of humor…..

Quote;
Power always tried to maintain his sense of humor. While passing through segregated Little Rock, Arkansas, during the 1950s, he was informed by a restaurant waitress that, "we don't serve Negroes." "That's OK. I don't eat them," Power replied. When complimented by a fan for his on-field "color," Vic responded, "Thank you. My parents had a lot of color, too." Explaining his prematurely-bald head as well as his propensity for being hit with pitched balls, Power quipped, "That is from getting hit in the head so much. It has stopped the circulation."
Sorry to hear the news. I grew up being a Vic Powers fan in Akron,Ohio. Next
to Rocky(Colavito) he was my favorite player for the Indians.

My brother and I would take turns being Rocky or Vic when we played "indian"
ball in the streets of North Hill-Little Italy not far from Cuyahoga Falls.

Rocky would point his bat right at the pitcher before every pitch, Vic's trademark was to lean over the plate and hold the bat out with his left hand
and push it so it would swing back and forth like a pendulum on a clock. Those of you who watched him know what I'm saying. Above average hitter and
excellent fielder.

We need more players like him today.
