A college coach just requested a video of my son. We're trying to do it on the cheap -- and yet produce a quality product -- and I seem to recall one or more past threads with pointers plus info on a free downloadable video editing software program. I searched this site under "video" but nothing jumped out at me. Links to these previous threads and/or helpful hints would be greatly appreciated.

I tried putting "making your own video" into the Find area...there were a few suggestions. I know what you mean about the expense. We paid 600 dollars for a very good video with 10 copies..in nice cases with labels and everything. It was alot. Not sure I could have done better...but I think I could have come close with time and practice at the computer. Good luck!!
Infield08,

I couldn't find any prior thread on this however if you have Windows XP you may already have a half way decent options already on your computer. There is a program called Microsoft Movie Maker that I used to make a simple video. According to the microsoft webstite if you don't have it already Movie Maker it is available with a windows service pack 2 update. Here is a link Movie Maker Link

I will send you a PM with a link to my son's video if you would like to see an example of what I was able to produce with this software. It's not fancy but it gets the job done.

Hope this helps
