Is there a video editor that is free to use to put clips of hits together to form one video to send to coaches? I also want to be able to shorten some of the clips as well.
If I have to pay (which is fine) whats the best one to buy?

If you're on a Mac it comes with iMovie. If you're on Windows 10 and above, it comes with Video Editor. Windows 9 and below come with Movie Maker. Any of these are good enough for what you describe.
I use iMovie when I’m in a rush. I use Premier Pro when I’m putting something together to send to a bunch of coaches. Premier is very complicated but by far the best.
Premier has a monthly fee but my son got a student account through his school. That one is free and has the same features
