Ya I understand where you are coming from. I used to do the same thing. The problem is that although it may work for you now, it will not in the future. As the pitching gets better in college, they will just throw you offspeed after offspeed. You need to dedicate yourself to correcting this; work on staying back in the cage.

Think about this: When you hit off a tee, do you lunge at the ball or hit off your front foot? Most likely not. Your high school season has already started so you shouldn't fix it right now. You should try to fix it before summer ball though. The faster you get your hitting corrected, the more it will help in the future.
