I have some down time here in my office and turned my TV on to the MLB Network. They are showing the Larsen perfect game versus the Dodgers in the 1956 World Series. I've watched bits and pieces in years past, but never noticed the announcers. Mel Allen and Vin Scully split the game, with Mel doing the first half, and Vinny doing the second.
It's amazing that one of the greatest baseball announcers is still behind the Mike going strong...54 years later!
