Hello. My name is Wayne Mead and I am the Athletic Director for Princess Anne Post 113, American Legion Dept of VA. We are looking for high School Students with a desire to play American legion Jr. Baseball this summer (ages 13* to 17**). We offer an excellent summer program in the VB area and an alternative to your local recreational baseball leagues.

American Legion baseball has been around since 1925. On average 52% of MLB players and 80% of college players played Legion ball including 46 MLB Hall of Famers. Many of the best local baseball players and/or coaches played Legion including Michael Cuddyer, Towny Townsend and Gary Lavelle to name just a few. American Legion baseball also provides college scholarship money to eligible college freshmen (see the legion website listed below for details).
League play commences June 9, with games on Tuesday & Thursday Thru approx the end of July, then playoffs will begin. Saturday will be rain-out days.
We will play Norfolk,Portsmouth and Chesapeake High Schools.
If you attend any of the following VB schools you are eligible to play for our Team Post 113 this year (not all schools are/can be represented by one Junior team as each team is limited to a total student enrollment of the 10-12 grade in each school players come from. Contact me for more info on the subject).
