A coach from a d1 school is coming down today to watch my son. This is a two hour plane ride. He has been down once to watch him take BP and we have gone to visit the school . My son is excited and a bit nervous. Just curious if coaches usually watch kids many times before either passing or making an offer. I know it varies just looking for some people with experience with this.

The good sign is that it is very rare for a college coach to take the time to fly two hours to see an out-of-area baseball game. It's a sign that they are very serious. As to how many times they feel they would need to see him, it varies.
Agree with Root. In season looks, that are an appreciable distance away, at kids happen, but not very frequently.

I would think an offer is coming.
Rough game. Played well defensively but went o for at the plate.
0fers happen, I have no doubts coach was looking at approach, swing, bat speed, etc.
Don't sweat the 0 for. He was looking at approach at the plate, swing mechanics, hustle, and perhaps most importantly, how he carried and conducted himself on the field and in the dugout when things weren't going his way.
Cool, enjoy it..i agree that an offer is probably close to happening.
Although it is promising, it doesn't necessarily mean an offer is eminent. Last Spring, my son had Washington State, Kansas, and West Virginia come to Idaho to watch him pitch. Although they liked him a great deal, it was late, and it was between him and one or two other kids. Good sign, but it is not a guarantee.
Also, Kansas did fly him out for an official visit, and they sort of offered. The HC said if his guys got drafted, they would have money to give to Ryno. If they didn't, they wouldn't. Unfortunately, none of their players were drafted.
I agree with ChefMike and 9and7 with everything they said. Be sure son has sent a thank you note (text or email) to Coach, and keep sending updates.
Good point joemktg, he should thank the coach.
