I am looking forward to meeting SonofaMoc at the baseball at the beach tournament in Myrtle Beach in February. Georgia Tech, VCU and Coastal are in the tournament as well.
Congratulations to the University of Tennessee baseball team. I hope they do well this year. As a Tennessean and a fan of baseball how can you not hope for a great season for the Vols. It is my hope that many the young boys in the great state of Tennessee can see their dreams come true as they step on the baseball field of the University of Tennessee. GO Vols! Fungo
btw - I drove through your fair metropolis of Spring Creek on the Friday before Christmas. We were taking a detour around a bad wreck on westbound I-40.
Bizazz, Not much here in Springcreek but I like it that way. You probably didn't notice but some of the better “doublewides” and AKC registered blue tick hounds are located in this portion of our county. Tongue in cheek about UT baseball? Not as much as one would think. Tennessee was one of my son's top five choices coming out of high school. He had a bad recruiting experience with the now departed Coach Mazey. I must say it was great competition during the three years my son competed against UT and I took great pleasure when we won and I suffered when we lost. Those days are past and I will be pulling for UT most of the time. As far as football goes, I was glad to see Vandy win simply because that contest did so much for both teams. While we all hate to lose it does build character. Losing has a way of destroying arrogance and replacing it with humility. UT football needed to eat some humble pie along with a large serving of crow. Fungo
I understand Fungo. If there were a time where my son's team plays the Vols, its no secret where my allegiance would be. But, other than that, I'm probably a Vol fan for life.
btw - after passing through Spring Creek we got on the interstate and exited at Pringle's Park. There's a lot of real estate being cleared for that new baseball complex.
