My son has also committed to VT. Stephen Malcolm SS/P, transfer from UC Irvine. I know of another committ from Cypress College in Socal and a pitcher from texas.
Congrats bbfan10, you must be very proud of your son. VT offers a great education and baseball upside opportunity in an extremely competitive conference.
Looks like VT is really hitting the road to climb up the ACC ladder, impressive. Any word on local virgina players siging?
If you are referring to Virginia Tech only, Chad Pinder (Poquoson -2010) and Jake Joyce (Carlisle High School in Collinsville - 2010) have committed to Virginia Tech. Do not know of anyone from the 2011 class (although at least five Virginia players from the 2011 class have committed to go out of state).

gamefan, the five are Jake Cave (LSU), T. J. Costen and Kevin White (South Carolina) and Shawn Morimando and Nick Thompson (ECU). Should be listed or mentioned in the 2011 commitment postings/thread.
