I'm watching the Vanderbilt-Alabama game on ESPN360. It's a CSS broadcast. The announcer commended the Alabama fans for sticking out the tough weather. It's 41 at 5pm CDT. He said they should get a voucher for an April game.

Welcome to our world. As long as it's not windy, 41 at 5pm is a nice day. Although it is 71 right now. Smile

On another note, if you have access to ESPN360 there are four SEC games being broadcast next weekend ....

Fri, Mar 26 7:00PM NCAA College Baseball - LSU vs. Tennessee
Sat, Mar 27 1:00PM NCAA College Baseball - South Carolina vs. Auburn
Sat, Mar 27 3:00PM NCAA College Baseball - LSU vs. Tennessee
Sat, Mar 27 7:00PM NCAA College Baseball - Florida vs. Mississippi

I get FCS (fox college sports or something like that) and was able to watch some of the BC Virginia game on Saturday and watched Florida Mississippi State on sunday. I'm really enjoying watching college baseball..I hope they continue to show more of it!!

And I'm with you on the 41...that is a warm night for the beginning of our season up here too! don't need the winter jacket with that temp!
I do know how you all feel...I lived in MN for like 20 years from 1989 to 1993. As I remember, it was always winter....some months the sledding was just a little tougher... Razz

Went to see the Giants and D-Backs spring training game yesterday. 76 and sunny...planes from the airshow flying overhead, girls in tank tops, beer, and popcorn...baseball the way it was intended....

Why is the guy on the PPSP smiling???
I spent almost 8 years in South Dakota and the college I went to did not even try to have a baseball team. Before college days in the Air Force my first year out there we planned a softball tournament for memorial weekend and it snowed almost 2 feet just before the weekend! We played anyway since it was sunny, had to plow the basepaths and pitching area. Had trouble finding the ball in the snow a couple of times though. Got soking wet and had a blast as I recall; it's been a few days errr years since then?

How about an adjustment for the cold weather teams having the first game on their spring trip being their first day not in a fieldhouse?
