His last travel team had 7 coaches, all dads!! I think collectively they had less baseball knowledge than my Aunt Edith. With a roster of 16 it made for some VERY unhappy parents for the 2 available positions!!

Anyway, this team has one head coach (second from left) that runs the show. The other three have very specific duties. One just finished his college career (far left) and is not a dad. He works with the infielders. Second from right works with pitchers and catchers and far right works with hitting. The head coach oversees all.

I am very pleased with the structure and quality of coaching. They drill, drill and drill, really focus on specific position skills and situational play handling. Pretty challenging stuff for 10 year olds but these are some pretty talented kids. Tonight they spent probably an hour an a half on handling "pop ups", i.e.; who calls off whom, areas of primary responsibility, bag coverage, etc. very detailed stuff.

Boomer loves it and I think all of the kids do. He is learning a lot about the game from these coaches and I am very satisfied.
