I forgot to mention that a .450 batting average is required also.Exception:For every mph over 90 that you throw, we will allow .25 less on your batting avg...but if you throw less than 90, the same rule applys. Example:Throw 74 mph..you must be hitting at at least a .850 pace.
Is Randy Johnson too old for this??? I don't think he has the batting average for this - I think he only hits around .395 or so. I hope that doesn't hurt his chances at playing in the pros.......
Must be a joke. There's a 14U kid here who was hitting close to 90 last year, but they didn't let him throw much 'cause they were afraid he'd bust his arm. Not sure his batting avg... Anyway, he's the exceptional player. Not too many like him.
try Keith Moyer from Souderton,Pa (Jamie Moyer relative) ck p/g he's 85 now and hits well above that batting average . i catch for him in 15u for the upper salford diamonddogs and he is a good mid fielder too . his last school game was 95 pitches ,14 s/o and no walks on a 4 hit shut out .deceptive fastball (he's no giant ) great slide step and quick delivery gives me a no stolen base record so far with him pitching .
