Warning for Tall players..

Since we are always discussing player height/length...

Tonight on the Giants Broadcast I heard that big league clubs don't like hitters over 6'2" because their "arms are too long"...

I wish someone would have told us that earlier...all those wasted years. Is there a place where one can find all these unwritten rules? It would save a heck of a lot of time...

We have heard straight from scouts mouths that "we really dont pick players under 6'3"

Getting someone to believe in a player is like selling a house... You only have to find the right buyer if the house is priced right."

Has anyone told Pujols, Holiday, Rasmus, Thome, Werth, Mike Stanton, Chipper, Heyward, Bautista, Dunn, Jeter, Rodriguez, Helton, Hamilton, etc??

These Organizations come up with some funny stuff, short pitchers are taboo as well...

Another comment I found interesting was that the trend now is "definately to guys who know how to play the game"...not just physical specimens. Bodes well for ALL.

Hey, I'm a CA guy...In the immortal word's of Jim Mora, "Hockey? Don't talk about Hockey. Are you kidding me? Hockey"?

To show you where the Giants stand at the moment in the bay area, friends who went to the game claimed that the color of the day was "Friday Giant Orange"....at the Sharks game.

I guess that means that my 6'2 1/2" son needs to list himself at 6'2" as a position player and at 6'3" as a pitcher? How do we do that on the same roster?

You know TRex was pretty tall but didn't have very long arms.
