I thought I would tie this thread in with a couple of others. First I want to thank everyone for their input on watching freshmen try-outs, everyone had some great advice.
TR cutting the cord was harder than I thought it would be. After working with him from when he was 5 to achieve this goal of making his high school team, I just had to see how it all turned out. (Hide out where he did not see me). His first two days worked-out with 52 freshmen that tried-out. Third day was pushed up to a very talented JV team. Fourth day son was told that the only way he would stay was to earn a starting position. Fifth day told he was the only freshman to make the JV team.
Sorry for the brag, but this has been one of the most stressful weeks I’ve been thru. To watch how hard he works out and to go beyond his goal is one of life’s little pleasures for a dad. Thanks to everyone on this web site, the info and help is beyond words.
