Way cool connection back to son's DFW select ball days.

I was watching Texas Tech basketball on TV last night and saw that a freshman with "Buttell" on the back of his jersey was starting the game for Tech. I rushed to computer, dialed up the Tech website and discovered that it was the younger brother of one of my son's 16 year old select teammates.

Jeremy Buttell from Collyville Heritage HS. 6'7" 238# freshman! I remember that he was a very big-footed "little" brother who came to a lot of his brother's games, but was often away pitching for his own select team.

Does anyone from the DFW area remember how far Jeremy went in baseball(did he play in HS?)?

Just had to brag on a basketball kid with a baseball connection.

p.s. Jeremy's older brother went to TCU and was on the baseball team there.

We were watching Jeremy at our house too.
Great kid and great family (known him since he was 7; and I think he was about 6' tall then!).

I believe Jeremy stopped playing baseball his junior year; probably when interest from Mr. Knight began!

Great to see a local excelling!

By the way, Jerid is a senior this year on the TCU baseball team.
