They play at least 3 really good teams out of there 4 games.  My personal opinion, they have showed everyone around here that they are the best team. End of story. 101 runs scored through 8 games.

Maybe...

I dug around and found the teams they are scheduled to play -

North Broward - A fairly good team from a middle classification school. Currently in first place in a pretty competitive district.

Nova - Tough team. Well coached. Good bats. They play in the second largest classification. In my opinion, the best of the scheduled opponents.

Pompano Beach - Despite their record, they are a capable team.  They have played a brutal schedule this year, so I don't think there is much out there that would intimidate them. They have played respectable games against both the PG ranked #1 and #3 teams in the country.

Douglas - Another pretty good team.  Plays in the largest classification. I haven't seen them in person, but I know they have been solid this year.

They are all legit teams.  If WB comes down and does well, you can certainly consider it earned.

I saw Douglas whip perennial power house American Heritage just a week or so ago.  AH's shortstop is a projected 1st/2nd rounder named Milton Ramos is the only kid that made any noise offensively with a huge bomb.  AH's field is 300ft all the way around with about a 25ft net.  Douglas's offense hit about 6 balls off the net.  Some would have been fly outs at normal fields.  Some would have been HR's at normal fields.  But they all swung the bat well.

Update us here how they do.

Try to win yes, Grind on pitching I doubt it.  Given a choice between burning up the pitching staff for a nice win in FL or having everyone gassed up ready to go when they come back I would be surprised if it isn't option 2.

When Great Bridge went down there for years the key pitching got tune ups and nothing more.  But Wiley Lee never was an abuser of pitching arms.  The bench also got AB's they would not normally have gotten.

Unless they raised a boat load of money the parents are shelling out decent money.  Could be >$1,000 for the player if they are flying plus costs if they take the trip.  Real easy for a family to be dropping $2,500 on this junket.

Get them all in at some point, get good experience and keep everyone happy on a road trip.
