Who are the favorites? Did Good Counsel lose too much talent to repeat? Is St. John's going to be better? Can Ireton keep improving with all of its young talent? I have to believe that PVI is the favorite since they return almost everyone--guys who are now in their third year of WCAC varsity baseball (4 Div I commits so far).

PVI, DeMatha, and St. John's have to be favored. PVI has five Div I signees and a bunch of other kids with a ton of experience. They have:

--Veeder--St. Joe's
--Kiaka--VCU
--Kidd--Cal St Fullerton
--Garner--JMU
--Aker (2012)--W&M

This does not even include Frezza who, if he were healthy, may be their best pitcher. All of the noted players are two-way players. This team is stacked.

But both DeMatha and St. John's return alot of talent and experience. O/C and Gonzaga seem to me to be improving ball clubs. Of course, SMR, BI, and McN are still at the bottom until they prove they can beat the better teams consistently, but they all showed great improvement last year. The wild card is GC. How much talent is left after last year's seniors left? Can a new coach win big in his first season?

I would add...(and not in any particular order of predicted finish)

PVI: needs to stay away from injuries, which killed them last season, as well as play to their potential...neither is easy to do. They have a few holes that need to be filled to succeed.
DeMatha: Returns a bunch of experience and talent. Morris (U of Cincinati) couldn't play in WCAC, but is back full time...and host of other pitchers. Faunce at 1b kills it, Burbrink and others. The only player, of note, that i see they lost is Riffe and he was a flat out stud.
St.John's: Still have Howard, who may be the WCAC's best player. And they will be very good and experienced.
OC and Gonzaga: Didn't lose much from last year and with another year of experience should be much improved...OC's Morabito (Lincoln memorial), Katz (W & M), Cusimano (SR that can play), Daneile (soph that started all last season), Essex (Signed somewhere, can't remember) form a real good start...Gonzaga with Williams, Juba and others...the same.
BI: Don't know alot about them, other than young last year and played everyone tough when I saw them play. The loss of their SRs, who went out with a not so nice bang last season, may help more than having them (pure speculation, as I know none of them personally, just based on what I read).
Macnamara: Don't know alot of the names, but Baldwin is probably a top 3 player in the conference and they really came on strong last year. Another year of the great coaching can only help.
GC: Lost a ton of talent, but they still have Doherty (UVA commit), McGowen and according to another board, they have plenty to reload.
SMR: I don't know enough about them to add anything.

No easy games in the WCAC, which makes it hard for anyone to dominate.
