Just got this in an email and thought it would interest some people here.

Weatherford College Baseball will be hosting a try-out camp for high school juniors and seniors on Saturday, January 14th at 1:00 p.m. The tryout will be held on the WC campus at Roger Williams Ballpark.

Participants should bring their own equipment and register at least 30 minutes prior to the tryout’s beginning. There is no need to pre-register. There is no cost for the tryout.

Position player skills to be evaluated include running speed, defensive ability, arm strength, hitting mechanics and power. Pitchers will be assessed, in part, from their arm strength, movement, command, and mechanics. Weatherford College baseball coaches will be in attendance at all tryouts.

For more information, call the WC Baseball Office at 817-598-0412.

Directions to Roger Williams Ballpark: From I-20 exit 409 and go North on Santa Fe Drive, turn left at the first stoplight, Park St., and then left at four-way stop sign onto College Park, Ballpark is on your immediate left.

I'm not so sure about Juniors.

Talked to the UIL today, they said there is no such rule. The only thing the gentelmen told me about "tryout camps" is that they can not be held on a HS Field and you can not recieve any compensation for attending or a ride to the camp from a coach.

Very nice guy, and it took all of about 60 seconds to get to talk to a real person and get an answer.
