FC 4 Cox 3

Blake Boyce and Trevor Hinson with solo HR's for the Patriots. John Bowman with the win in relief of Buddy Lawson. Chase Kyriacou had a 3 rbi double and pitched 5 strong innings for the Falcons, but was probably left in a bit too long. An 0-2 grooved fastball to Hinson was planted squarely over the fence in LC to knot the score in the bottom of the 6th. Blake Boyce then followed with a deep shot to RF that placed him on 3rd with no outs and brought Brian Sagedy out of the pen to stem the tide. A strikeout, a HBP, and an intentional walk loaded the bases with 1 out, and in what turned out to be a pivotal play in the game, the runner at 3b was called safe on a very close play at the plate on a high chopper back at the pitcher. Sagedy avoided further damage by inducing the next batter to hit into an inning ending 6-4-3 DP. Hinson closed it out in the top of the 7th after giving up a leadoff double. Eventually getting the final out on what looked to be a botched 2 out, bases loaded squeeze?

Well played game on both sides
