All of Cox runs were earned. With the exception of a passed ball/wild pitch, can't remember any significant Kemps errors. Kemps hit was a capper that barely cleared the pitcher in the 2nd or 3rd inning. Kemps played good defense that helped keep them in the game and Ramirez threw a good game. He is something to watch. Good things in store for that talent. Amorosso threw a great game. Very effective. He is also something special. I believe that Cox allows the catcher/pitcher battery call their own pitches. Impressive at this level (at least I did not see the dugout calling pitches).
Exactly correct with the interference call - 3 things went wrong. First the batter did put himself into a position where it would have been interference. Second, the catcher made no attempt at the play, he just pointed at the batter. Third, the umpire called the interference with no action causing the problem.
Also correct on the pitching decision in the 6th. Umps' zone changed alot for both teams in the last which kind of tainted the game. Too bad the plate ump left that impression on such a good game. Umps should have called the game one inning sooner due to darkness.

In the Cox/Kempsville game Kempsville scores 5 runs with 1 infield hit. Amerosso actually goes 5 innings 1 hit 8K's and 4 BB, Three of which were in the 6TH not 4 straight in the 6TH. Conroy should have taken Amerosso out after his second BB'S in the inning. Ramirez pitched well but gets no help from his bats. The umpires were terrible especially behind the dish. He had no consistency with his strike zone and was squeezing it in the 6TH inning, he was bad for both sides. He also blew a call that probobly made the difference in the game. He called batters interference on a steel of third base when the catcher never threw the ball. I'm not an expert but I think the catcher must throw the ball for that call to be made.
