Brett Prinz was recently called up to the Chicago White Sox. He made his Sox's debut last night. Brett attended Crete-Monee HS his junior year and broke into MLB in 2001 with the Diamondbacks. He's been on a yo-yo string between the minors and 5 different MLB clubs since then. He said his major league dream was a three parter; 1. Get a World Series ring. 2. Play in Yankee Stadium. 3. Play for the White Sox. He has now completed all three parts of his goal.
Brett is a really nice guy and a friend of my son's. It's really great to see a local kid get to play for the White Sox.
