First round of tryouts tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing some of the talent on our side of the state. I suspect it's going to be tough for the West to repeat the success of last year.

Some good talent at the first tryout date (at Jefferson Forest). About 35-40 players, mostly outfielders and about 10 catchers. Only a few infielders and only a handful of pitchers showed up. A few players showed some good speed (7.0 and below) in the 60. The other tryout date is next week at Pulaski, then they'll bring the "chosen 32" over the Salem on June 5th for a DH to choose the final 16.
