WCU was not on list of target school , but has expressed interest in son. Did some research but would love to have the community opinion.

Son got his first start last year there and got a win. Nice campus, good hitting team. We faced them again in our Regional and won both again. They can hit. Thats all i got.
Thanks!!

Western played 500 ball last season and won their conference which placed them into the Clemson Regional.
Because of their location, they play against some really good programs, which IMO, better competition makes better players. And yes, they are a very good offensive team.
I suggest if there is genuine interest to take an unofficial visit.
Solid program in SoCon. History of some quality players each year. If your son has what it takes to play Pro, the scouts will find him there. Lots of good baseball and therefore Pro scouts in that region of the country.
The school and town are unique. Location is remote, so your son must like the rural life to be happy there.
WCU fans have a very unique victory ritual. After a home win, fans gather on the left field wall. The WCU players run past the fans and the fans pour their beverages on the players. Fun for all.
Thanks! I think we are going to go on an unofficial visit to check thing out.
I'll add this, it is beautiful up there. Enjoy the visit!
