They have expressed a little interest in my 09 . Asking him to attend labor day camp to see more of him . Checked out their roster ..not many midwest kids on it ...somewhat of a concern . Any thoughts on this camp ?

its probably to late now but if you check out the wku website i believe you will find that a large number of recent signees have attended the labor day camp. ALL college camps are to some degree money makers for the university, but in this case I believe it is a very legimate recruiting tool!!

(3) Western Kentucky Baseball Academy (lessons)

Was at this camp . About 120 players there made for a long day . too much down time for the kids . Some kids sat around for 3 hours before getting the chance to play in their designated groups game . Other than that it was decent camp . Nice facilities ...coaches seemed to be genuinely watching everyone .
Was also at this camp. Morning part of the camp was o.k., but after that very disorganized. My sons team did not have a primary catcher, they had to ask one that had already played to help catch our game. If you had one of the early games you were very lucky each kid got at least three at bats, pitchers pitched to at least five or six batters. Our game pitchers got three or four batters, hitters were lucky to get two at bats, my son got one at bat. They do have very nice facilities...and the coaches seemed to be only interested in the local kids or the ones they already knew. Like sulltiger said very long day, waited three hours to play our game and then got one at bat.
