My son is excited about participating and representing his country this summer in Australia through the People-to-People Baseball Ambassadors program. Has anyone any feedback or personal experiences about this program, the coaches or what he may get out of it. As I understand it there are only three teams fielded nationally to compete internationally. Will he get exposure to some of these scouts and college coaches everyone talks about ? Or is this one of those programs that just looks good on paper ? noidea

While People to People is an outstanding organization, their focus is more on the "entire" experience than just the baseball. From what I've heard the baseball is ok, but not anything that will get you anywhere recruiting-wise.

If you want the best international baseball, I don't think any organization is better than Goodwill Series. Bob Williams has done an outstanding job with his international program, just as he did with Area Code Baseball. You can visit their site at www.goodwillseries.org
You'll also be hard pressed to find a better person in amateur baseball than Bob, I have the utmost respect for him and what he's accomplished. My son and several other boys I know have played internationally with Goodwill Series, and we have nothing except positive things to say about it. The quality of the competition was outstanding and the coaches are professional scouts and former players.
