Never seen much discussion of what lower level college baseball coaches are paid. Recently heard that one JUCO coach, a pretty successful and hard working young man, made only about 3-4 thou a year in addition to has pittance as a physical eduction instructor. He puts in a lot of hours.

That's about the same as our local HS head coach makes. And the college guys have so much more to deal with... recruiting, year-round training, longer playing season, etc.

Anyone know?

I don't know the dollar amount, but at my son's D3, the baseball head coach position is part-time and is offered in conjunction with another athletic dept. job that brings the combo up to a full-time salaried position. The current head coach is also asst AD with considerable year-round responsibilities for managing athletic facilities at the school. I would guess the baseball coaching position is considered 1/4 to 1/2 of the total responsibilities for the fulltime salary but I don't know the salary.
