When they come to a game and you don't play. I recieved a call from a coach at a school I'm interested in on July 1, he gave me the speech of how they're interested in me and will be following me.

He also said he would be calling weekly just to talk and develop a relationship... He hasn't called back since.

This coach was at my game tonight, the last game in a tourney in which we couldn't advance. My coach played a different player, it will be his last season with the team and hasn't played much. But it is very likely the college coach has no idea of this.

What does the coach think if he comes to the game and I wasn't even playing? Should I call him and invite him some other games? Should I say anything about me not playing?

PS: He didn't call me and tell me he was going to be coming. I also didn't talk to him while he was at the field.

I would not hesitate to drop him an e-mail and explain the circumstances. If you are an '09 and plan on playing this fall the recruiters should have many additional opportunities to come watch you play. If you know that a recruiter is coming to see you, is your coach going to start you? Are you a starter generally?

You have plenty of time, but the fall will be important. Obviously you are showing well this summer or they would not have come out hoping to see you.

Relax and have fun!
