I have been told for years by college coaches and some other very good coaches in the OF to always have a comfortable stance, for instance glove on your hip or hitting your glove constantly. NEVER have your hands on your knees because it makes you look tired. My coach at the game the other night threw a fit because all of the OFer's when standing in what we think is a comfortable stance. He said that we looked lazy and tired and replaceable. My coach is one that won't/can't listen to anyone elses opinion when it comes toward baseball. What do you do? Do you keep up your regular stance and have your coach on your butt or listen to him and feel uncomfortable?

lebanonbb,

I kinda owe you an apology.

I left a word out of my initial post that I intended to include.

Leaving the word out added a harshness to my statement that I really didn't intend.

Here's what I meant to say:

Do you want to feel uncomfortable in the OF or uncomfortable on the bench?

As baseball will teach you about life, you will find that sometimes your choice is not comfortable or uncomfortable, but which option is the least uncomfortable.

You got the point, but not exactly the way I intended.

O its fine FO. I didn't take it offensively. The reason I even made a post for this was because I over ran a ball and got the breathe knocked out of me and missed the ball. Instead of getting a "Are you ok?" or "good hustle you'll get it next time" I got a your lazy out there! Your making us look bad. The reason you missed this ball was because you had your hand on your hip. I really took it offensively and thought it was uncalled for. Honestly it didn't make sense either.
