Last couple of nights (including tonight) the Braves had big leads - up by at least 4.

It seems to me they changed the style of pitching - get as many innings as you can to take pressure off the bull pen. Every pitch was a hitters pitch.

To me, this is like the prevent defence in football - it can come back to haunt you.

Thoughts?
To our military men, women and families - You are all awesome - that flag is yours and I thank you for the opportunity for giving me the honor of removing my cap prior to every baseball game I see.

It could come back to haunt you, depending on how fat those hitters' pitches are.

But there's much to be said for depending on your defense and saving your pitching heat for a closer game. ("Don't try to strike everybody out. Mix in some ground balls. Strike outs are fascist.")

I wouldn't call a four-run game a particularly big lead. Any time you're within slam distance, the game has not been put away.
